Match report Olney 2.s season slumped to a new low when they were beaten by 9 man bottom of the table Wing and now face a real relegation battle to avoid the drop.

Several batsmen made a start but no-one went on to dominate the bowling with Baz top scoring on 41. PC Wrongun (Del Hullat) on debut smacked an unauthodox 34 mainly to cow much to the displeasure of the Wing opening bowler but his efforts may go some way to helping his forthcoming case in front of the OTCC Standards and Decency commitee. Skipper Panter 28 and Simon Gratland 27no the only other starts. However with no ducks on show Olney scrambled to 188-9 with the general feeling agaisnst 9 men that would be enough

WRONG !!

Adam Barrick bowled well early on but Wing never really looked in trouble and completed the run chase with a couple of overs to spare for their first victory of the season. It may have been a different story if a cut and dried run-out, with the batsmen a mile short of his ground, was given only to find the umpire not in position to adjudicate. The bat went on to make 92no - oh well thats cricket !
