Match report Olney 2's removed the slight possibility of relegation with style as they comfortably beat Newport Pagnell. Crucially winning the toss Olney inserted Newport Pagnell in and kept them under control with opening bowlers Ray Filip and Oli Knowles bowling tidily.

NP also fighting for their league lives accelerated with King batting well for 86 backed up by Roy Hefferon for 42. But it was Chairman Harrison who showed the young pups how its done with bizarre figures of 4-18 !! Why do we bother !

NP finished on a respectable 207-6. Tea was had which included the bizarre comment from Tanya Megeary that you shouldn't drink for the sake of it !!!.

Back to the game and on a drying pitch batting conditions were getting better all the time on a good strip and the 2 batting titans of the 2nds, Harrison and Hurley were sent in to provide a base for victory ! At 160-0 its fair to say they probably did their job.
Hurley still reeling from the shock of having to buy a jug the previous week on a teachers wage was clearly determined lightning wouldn't strike twice and departed for another good innings of 67. Harrison then guiding the ship home with a little help from Adam Barrick, to carry his bat finishing on 101no and whilst a close call probably the man of the match award !
