On a day when the toss was critical (opposing skipper lost it) Olney powered to another shedload of runs (600 for the weekend by the home sides) and at last turned the dominance into victory. A brilliant 112no on debut from 77 balls from new signing Sam Howe being the driving factor along with 54 (yep 54) wides !! and a 52 from the fossil Gallyot incl 32 having to be run (well at least Alison gets a quiet night!!)

A good first game of the season for Jimmy Sawford too gets a mention along with only 4 byes getting past new wicketkeeping star Christian Smail, and the Olney youth well represented again as they continue their step up to adult cricket with Rice,Smail and Knowles doing their bit, but perhaps the highlight of the day goes to Head barman Hammer Lord who passed comment on the 'looks' of a visiting lady to the club only to be quickly informed he was stood next to the husband !! (by the husband). Classic !!

20 huge points for the Sunday League side and a job well done by all.
